I'm in the market for a used car for my son and although I'm reasonably confident around cars I intend to getting an inspection done prior to purchase. I'd just like to know if anyone has used this type of service and whether they have any recommendations? I'm thinking of using National Vehicle Inspections but can't find…

HPi check confusion! HELP!
I've done an HPi check on a car the missus wants to buy, I think it's ok but there's interest registered against a previous plate but judging by the dates of the plate transfers the write off was on a personal cherished plate before it was transferred to the vehicle I'm looking to buy but I'm not sure! If anyone can…

AA breakdown cover £2 ??
Hi all. Just had a call from the AA offering me breakdown cover for £2 a year? Apperantly because I'm a aa credit card customer I'm eligible for this offer. I think it's only a basic roadside policy. brake discs/'lip'
there is a lip on the o/side of each disc where the pads have bedded in/worn disc. Not dramatic and I see it on many cars. When I come to change the pads, surely the new ones will just sit in the same place and the lip won't be a problem ? MOT failure ? Did see on TV the other night (Wheeler Dealers) that there is a…

Anyone had as terrible a time with Admiral Insurance as i'm currently having?!
I was involved in an accident on a steep hill in South Cornwall on a friday. I was making my way up hill at no more than 5 to 10 mph, with my mother, her best friend & myself in the car. The car was already struggling slowly uphill as we were transporting all the clothes, decorations & cake for my wedding the next day in…

It's clearly a private road,…

I have just received a tax disc for a new car which I hope to take delivery of next week. The cost is marked as £133.50, and the ticket is marked as 12 + 1. Is this because the disc was not applied for until the last day of the month?
