AA breakdown cover £2 ??
Hi all. Just had a call from the AA offering me breakdown cover for £2 a year? Apperantly because I'm a aa credit card customer I'm eligible for this offer. I think it's only a basic roadside policy. Didn't take them up on the offer straight away as I'm a little weary about giving my debit card details over the phone to a unavailable number.
Has anyone else had this offer? Seemed genuine. Going to check it out further before they call me back tomorrow .

As a member, if you spend this year you could get AA Breakdown Cover next year – spending £35 a week on fuel and £45 a week on your weekly supermarket shop could earn enough points in a year to pay for AA Breakdown Cover.**0 -
Thanks Norman but I haven't used my credit card for at least 3 yrs?
But at least it makes the random phone call look more genuine.0 -
It's been nearly a week now? Got another call from the aa yesterday . Has anyone else got this offer?0

They've been ringing me on and off for the past six weeks or so, I've still not answered them, I'm not interested in any offer they have for me so they can keep ringing.0

£2 for a years personal cover seems a bit of a bargain though?0

Irrelevant to me I'm afraid. I had enough of them bumping the price every year and it was getting more and more difficult to get them to negotiate. That coupled with a couple of botched breakdowns over the year mean I won't go back to them.
I realise this could happen with any company but it's not like there's a shortage of places offering cover. I'm with Autoaid now and have just had my first claim paid out (£170 for a puncture
) so I'm happy to stick with them for a while and see how they pan out. 0 -
Fully understand tykesi if you've had bad service from a company then you should always vote with your feet and go elsewhere. Good luck and thanks for taking the time to reply0
