Declare car SORN for 6 months - anyone done this?
It's now August and we've hardly used our car at all this summer (we live in a very bicycle friendly place and it's small, so easy to walk around, and also has a good bus service). I can pick up shopping on my way home from work and can "piggyback" my parents' weekly shopping delivery (so buy the heavier things on that).…

Accident Liability
Hi, a few months ago I was travelling along a main road in a slow stream of traffic going about 15 mph. A driver from the side road on my left (who was waiting to turn right) pulled out in front of me. I believe they pulled out because a driver coming in the other direction flashed to let them out. But I hadn't as the road…

Insurance quotes with and without tracking box
Without: iGo4 £618 With: Insure the Box £5087  So how does this work? Thought I would get some quotes with on the off chance I could wipe another hundred quid or so off the price with telematics insurance, guess I was wrong!

What level of car breakdown cover do you have?
I'm due to renew my cover and I've always gone for the lowest (cheapest) cover, just roadside assistance. Is it worth spending more and get extra cover?

Denying Liability
I had a crash just over 3 weeks ago. Went though my insurance initially expecting them to claim the money back from the other party. Have now had payout as car was a write off and bought a new car. The only thing left to do was to make sure that liability was changed from 50/50 to the other parties fault. Which naively I…

01(51)Suzuki Ignis 1.3 (3dr) or 02 Daihatsu YRV 1.3 (5dr)
I've had an Ignis in the past and loved it, so am inclined towards this - but it only has 3 doors. Normally it will just be 2 of us (with a wheelchair), but if family come and stay (2 or 3 weeks at a time), they are in their 80s.... so 5 dr better. Ignis = £600 (private), YRV = £900 (dealer). Any ideas?
