Hi

I've been shopping around for new breakdown cover and wondered in general if Autonational are a decent company?
Any experiences good or bad would be great to hear :-)

Thanks

Do you mean Autonational Rescue? If so I've used them for many years, and have made a fair few call outs on previous cars and have no complaints. If you do join, do so via TopCashBack to get another 18.37% off. (Cashback is as usual not guaranteed, but it paid out for me last time for Autonational Rescue).

Having said all that, another option to consider is Autoaid which works out a little cheaper. The only downside is that you have to pay at the time of the call out and then claim the money back later, but going by reports on this site this is a quick and easy process.

Renewed for the third year running.

Used twice last year so lost the no call out discount, for two cars it cost about the same as the major players.

Even called them up for help when my car packed up in traffic, and when my car started up I called them back and cancelled the call
out. No problems and had a bit of joke with the person on the other end of the phone.

They answer the phones promptly, and will email out new documents straight away.

    Happily recommend.

I've been with them for years, and never had any problems. If you break down, they will contact a local breakdown company, who will do the call-out. What you're really paying for is an insurance policy to pay the breakdown company.

I'm paying £66 for the first car, £33 for the second, for the "Total Superservice".
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

Worth noting that the 'top' service from these guys is £66 from their site or via TCB...bit it's only £49.50 if you go via price comparison sites! To further complicate the equation, direct or via TCB you get 15 months for the price of 12, but via the comparison sites it's only 12 months.

...so, direct or TCB = £66 for 15 months
    Comparison sites = £49.50 for 12 months.
