Southern now selling tickets online
Southern Railway now sell tickets online at http://tickets.southernrailway.com Looks a lot like National Express East Coast to me. They also said in the email that £5 advance tickets would only cost £3 on their website - which is a discount NXEC have also given on Southern tickets for quite a while.

No refund for cancelling AA cover??
Hi - just wondering if anyone else has found the AA's policy on offering ZERO refund if the policy is cancelled mid-term a bit (or a lot) unfair? I sold my car last weekend, and in my current crusade to save money figured I could cancel my AA cover (my wife and I had separate policies) and have myself added to my wife's…

"THE government is to cut the national speed limit from 60mph to 50mph on most of Britain’s roads, enforced by a new generation of average speed cameras. The reduction, to be imposed as early as next year, will affect two thirds of the country’s road network. Drivers will still be able to reach 70mph on motorways and dual…

Automatic Jump Leads?
My brother in law was asked to help start a neighbour's car the other day-flat battery. She asked him if he had any jump leads-he said no. He then kindly offered to pop down to the local car accessories shop for a pair for her-the first question he said they asked him was 'is it an automatic or manual car?'-not clear if…

Rail extension tickets and Conditions of Carriage discrepancy
Well, not a discrepancy as such, but something that rail operators seem to take no notice of.. I wish to make a trip to Peterborough from London King's Cross. I already have a season ticket between Welwyn Garden City and King's Cross. Therefore, it makes sense to purchase an extension ticket for the journey from WGC to…
