question about early repayment charge
Hi, I've received my annual mortgage statement. It shows my early repayment charge but it says that in 2021 any early repayment charges will cease to apply. Does it mean the bank won't charge me if I make early repayment/pay off my mortgage early in 2021? I still have about £74K to pay with 13 years to go. Thanks. San

Mortgage Overpayment charges
I want to make a one off overpayment to my Natwest mortgage to reduce the term of the mortgage. The payment is within their rules for overpayment. I am told that I must go through an affordability check which will take approximately 2 hours and cost me £35. This is presumeably similar to the affordability checks that were…

Mortgage advice - Repay shared equity or wait
Hi It would be great to get some opinions of some mortgage savvy people here. Basically, we bought a house 7 years ago with 15 shared equity. Not something I would do now, but we wanted to keep mortgage payments low at the time. So we own 85% and the finance company provided by the builder owns 15% of the value. If the…

Endowments and money laundering

My concern is that she will keep the money instead of sending it on. Is there anyway around this?

Mortgage for over 60
Apologies if the answer is posted elsewhere, I am not the greatest at searching. Currently 62 with a pension of £27K…

Property Under Key Worker Scheme - Not a Key Worker
Hi guys, Quick question as I'm not 100% sure on this one. I've found a property that I'd be willing to view, however in the description it says that it's a part of the 'Key Workers Scheme'. What would this mean for someone like myself interested in the property but doesn't work in any of those sectors? Does the price stay…
