Charge Against Property
Hi, I'm hoping someone maybe able to advise. Myself and my ex have split up, and my remortgage is really tight. She is saying I owe her an extra 2.5k, which I have agreed, but she wants to put a 1.4% charge on the property. My question is will my mortgage company have to agree to this? Many Thanks in advance

NatWest Mortgage Application
Hi, I submitted a mortgage application through a broker to NatWest and received an AIP for 240k, 40k deposit. I then found a house for 217k and submitted a formal application with a larger than 10% deposit. I was asked for 3 pay slips. Today, after a week or so I have been asked to provide a further three payslips. Is this…

Checks before funds released?
Hi everyone Does anyone know what checks Halifax make before they release mortgage funds on completion? How can I pay off outstanding amount on my mortgage
I have just 3 years left on my mortgage and as it stands at the moment £50,000 to pay back. I became a single mum in 2005 and had to pay the mortgage on my own so went for interest only. I have now remarried but have no idea how we might pay this off other than selling the house worth around £300,000. Any advice?

Additional borrowing question
We are coming up to the end of a fixed term deal and would like to fix again. We would also like to take out some additional borrowing for an extension which would add significant value to the property. I called our lender and they said we can do it all in one go as 2 mortgages (and that would be on the total Ltv of both…

M&S Bank
I was just wondering if anyone has been through the M&S mortgage application process? I'm only a week in and it seems awfully slow. I have a deadline of 27/7/2018 to complete on the purchase and was just wondering how long m&s took to do their part?

I currently have a fixed deal with Natwest that is coming to an end on 30 November. I am hoping to remortgage to first direct when the fixed period with Natwest expires. Mortgage Fraud
Bit of an unusual predicament that I’d appreciate any thoughts on: Soon to be ex-husband obtained a mortgage back in 2003/04 using a counterfeit passport / false identity. I knew a little about it at the time but was not directly involved however, stupidly turned a blind eye to it once my objections were ignored. Since we…

First time buyer - Can I close remotely?
So, I’m eventually starting to ramp up looking for a home with an appointment with an advisor booked in a few days to see how much I can borrow and will be starting to view houses soon as well. I’ll be looking to buy alone. That’s about as much background as you need for that part. I work at sea so I’m on a work/leave…

Same day decision?

Remortgaging with a lower income then when we started...
Hi, my wife and I have an interest only mortgage of £188,000 that is due to end in 2021. We have a good credit history which ironically may be blemished by the fact that we have no other debts, and have never missed a mortgage payment. However our incomes are a bit lower due to my wife becoming a stay-at-home mum. My…
