Hi,
i'm looking to buy with my boyfriend. i'm a first time buyer, he signed up to SOMETHING a few years ago where he pays towards his mums mortgage (hopefully we will get confirmation soon im aware this is important to know). I've heard the words home owner loan and remortgage but no one has said exactly what it was yet. It will be paid off end of July. They've called the land registry and hes not named on there as a owner or part owner.
Its the family home he grew up in so hes nothing to do with the initial sale.
Is he classed as a first time buyer still? e.g. eligible for stamp duty discount and government saving schemes.
Thanks,

Speak to a solicitor, I thought I was a ftb as not named on house deeds, but that wasn't the case and I've lost my ftb status, different scenario but name on the deed doesn't necessarily tell the whole story!0
