Any point in making overpayments on mortgage during fixed rate ..
I have nearly two years left on fixed rate deal of mortgage (with £3k ERC) and then I think I will have 15 years left. Thinking of selling the house after two years. What, if any, would be the benefit of making the two 10% overpayments per year that I am allowed to, if I intend to sell up in 2 years? Thank you

Help to Buy Mortgages
So am I right in thinking that for a HTB mortgage....your credit report need to be squeaky clean. So missed payments from over 5 years ago would be an automatic reject? Also If the government are willing to boost your deposit and make payments affordable but you have to pay the money back....could this be a rope around…

Not sure if in the right forum, but here goes.... Been with Virgin One since 2001, almost its inception. Had a few issues, nothing major and on the whole been pleased with it. However, a recent issue with their online service is the last straw I think. Google Chrome is current the worlds most popular browser, swiftly…

Secured loan advice needed urgently
we have been trying to remortgage to consolodate the debt we have built up while carrying out extensive renovation and extension work. Using Credit Card During Process
Just paid our deposit to solicitors and awaiting exchange after Christmas  Is it frowned upon by lenders if you use your Credit card for general spending and then pay it off each month during the application? I just twigged that I had set up a taxi account using credit card ages ago and now with all the extra…

A vote for the brokers if you are thinking of a mortgage in the New Year
As a lurker on the forums for some time in this section and I know many do the same after moving into my new build last month I cannot stress the benefits of a broker. Yes it was stressfull, yes solicitors drag their heels. Before applying make sure you have at least 3 latest payslips and your P60. If you intend to use tax…
