Hi Guys.
Quick question.....
Halifax have come back to me today with a mortgage offer :T
Does this mean they have already done a valuation of the property?
Does the offer mean the mortgage is approved?
Handover date is 6th March, I'm hoping all will go well before then.
Stressing out a bit lol

Mortgage offer is usually after val and underwriting yes.
It does mean it has been approved.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Look in section three.
Does it give figures for the purchase price of the property and then the valuation of the property?I am a mortgage broker. Thanks guys.
I thought I may need to pay for another home report?
The home report we submitted was produced in July & the broker told me it would need to be no more than 3 months old.
Halifax have not asked for this. Do you think they will still require me to pay for a new one? Or will the July one do?
As you can see this is my first experience of house purchase. And it's not even my house! Just POA and doing a friend a favour while she's overseas.Member #179 -The 'Save 12k in 2014' Challenge £1740/£50000
