slow sales
This may be a stupid question but.. I'm selling a house I have no morgage on but I want to buy quickly.. Ideally my house would sell, I'd use that money, some cash I have and a (roughly 30% LTV) morgage to buy the new house. As its going slowly can I use the cash I have as a 20% deposit, take an 80% morgage and then pay…

We are around 25k short of the amount…

Married House Buying in Joint or Single name?
I am about to buy a house. My wife does not currently work, my earnings are sufficient for the mortgage, so we could either get the mortgage and deeds in just my name, or in joint names. Credit report info??
Just a quick question... If you were applying for a mortgage, would the lender have access to any information that you couldn't see yourself on your credit report? ie - if you had defaults that had dropped off your report (because they were over 6 years old) and you were still paying them off, would the lender know that??

Remortgaging with DMP running
Hi I was just wondering if any of you know of any lender who would let us remortgage when we have a DMP running. We would also need a 90% ltv, this would clear all our debts having a 90%, I dont think any lender would let us just remortgage without clearing debts too.

Tentative steps towards first mortgage..
Hi all, my fiance' and I have noted with interest the new initiative of 5% deposit (I work in that industry so am well aware the benefit isn't potentially aimed at the buyer) It's changed my own view on when buying would be a good idea. Hi Apols if this is the wrong place for this. Could well be my non-techie incompetence, but couldn't do a 'credit score' search as a phrase and find a thread/section dealing specifically with this question...
