Coventry & Godiva

Can anyone help? We were looking for a shortish term mortgage just to give us enough money to renovate a property we currently in with the aim of selling within two years to hopefully have a bigger house for the long term & take out a larger sum then.
There are a few complications like a 74 year old also being joint owner on the deeds, however our broker has come back with a mortgage offer from Coventry & Godiva with what seems like a decent rate & no redemption or early repayment charges. As neither of us have heard of this company we are a bit sceptical & wondered if anyone knew or have heard of them??
Thanking you in advance

Thank you, we are both very new to this & when had a mortgage in the past only ever borrowed from a high street banks! However on this occasion they wouldn't touch us as there is a 74 year old on the deeds. We were more worried as not heard of them & also with them not having a problem with the 74 year old on the deeds were concerned there was something 'hidden' & would find out in a few months we had made one big mistake0

Are you sure? From the websiteThe minimum age for mortgage applicants is 18 years old. Applicants must be no more than 75 years old at the end of the mortgage term.0 -
Good proviuder but can be very fussy and slow. Thier online application is dire. The age thing will be an issue. You cannot be on deeds and not on the mortgage.
Other lenders are easier to use and don't have age restrictions.0 -

Yes you are right, double checked with my husband & broker said would need to remove 74 yr old from deeds (just didn't need to add me on to get money).
They are coming back today with cost from solicitor regarding removal of name!0
