which mortgage to overpay?
I have an interest-only mortgage for approx 109K which is coming to the end of its fixed rate. The low interest rate now means my monthly payment will be almost halved, so I could start to overpay and put the overpayment to paying of the capital. The property is rented so I'd like to keep it as IO, to avoid any problems…

Will be coming to the end of my fixed rate in September and will probably go onto the svr. Atm I pay £160.11 op each month, and want to keep the payments the same so will be opaying quite a bit each month roughly £700. Should I also reduce the term of the mortgage (will be 27 years) or just keep opaying extra?

Renting vs Mortgage
I read a news story online earlier saying that the majority of people will probably rent for life due to it being harder to get on the housing ladder, what effect will this have in the future? Surely nobody buying houses would force prices down, leading to people who are renting now being able to buy? Which would in turn…

No more credit checks?
Short but simple question. Got an AIP with Nationwide in April. They did a credit check on my partner and I. We passed and there is a footprint on my credit file. We then put an offer in on a house which was accepted a few days later. It would require a mortgage less than what we were initially asking for. We've had the…
