No more credit checks?

Short but simple question.

Got an AIP with Nationwide in April. They did a credit check on my partner and I. We passed and there is a footprint on my credit file.

We then put an offer in on a house which was accepted a few days later.

It would require a mortgage less than what we were initially asking for.

We've had the mortgage offer and signed the mortgage deeds. No further credit checks have come up on my credit file.

Are there no more credit checks now? It wouldn't matter if there was as I've paid off my CC and OD now... but it just seems odd I'd have the AIP check and no other check when putting in a formal one?
