Coming to end of fixed rate - advice needed
Hi, this is my first post here so please don't bite! Almost two years ago I took out a 95% mortgage with Scottish Widows, fixed rate of 5.75%. I've now got about 90% left to pay, but reckon that my LTV is shot due to prices go down. I assume that having such poor LTV means I've no chance of going to another mortgage…

Is it possible to have someone named on the deeds who isn't named on the mortgage?
Looking at buying my first house but have been a temp for the last 3 years and the job I'm about to start only has a year contract so my dad has said he'll help me out. Is it possible to get just him on the mortgage as I don't think they'll consider me but have me named on the deeds? How would we do this? Thanks

Mortgage multiples - bonuses?
Can anyone let me know what the typical treatment is these days for bonuses when arranging mortgages? In a situation where a bonus forms a substantial part of earnings (let's say 40%) and has been consistently awarded, would it be at all countable towards mortgage funds availability?

Switching from Repayment to Interest Only
Due to the current climate and future workload, we are considering switching from repayment to interest only. I have always tried to avoid this, but am not sure exactly why. A few questions, if you can help. 1. We are with the Chelsea and the fixed term ends next Feb...does this have any bearing on being able to switch? 2.…

FD only tell you the actual. Do they do this on purpose hoping you will go overdrawn or is it something they have not thought about?…

Who will lend at 85% on new build (with a six month validity)
Hi there, I have a mortgage arranged at 90% ltv with RBS for purchase of a new build house (significantly reduced by 25% from peak, so no longer over-valued compared with similar second hand properties in the area). The rate is poor, and we may be able to increase our deposit to get to 15%. Can anyone tell me which lenders…

Will I accept this money from LloydsTSB?
]Can anyone advise please? I complained in 2006 about the mis-selling of an endowment policy, which I took out about 20 years ago and will not mature until 2012. Eventually I received a letter from LLoydsTSB offering me something like £200 and I had to let them know within 7 days if I would accept it. I did not accept it.…

Mortgage broker recommends Accord 4.89% - 5 yr - with 1 default
Hi, Mortgage broker has recommended that we try for an AIP with Accord. The rate is 4.89%, £995 arrangement fee, 5 year fixed , 75% LTV. This was chosen because of 1 default on my wifes credit history (5 years ago). I have seen other rates of 4.59% and even 4.39% (hsbc). The broker said that these weren't available to him…
