My mother in law and her partner got us some gift cards from the coop for £25 each that stated they could be used everywhere in the uk that accepted visa. So off we toddled to boundary mill, wouldn't accept. Ok, poss just there? Off we went to Asda, no joy, same in sainsburys. We called in coop on way home they said they'd…

Today our tv has come on with horizontal lines in it and it's jumping, I was going…

Negotiation In Marriage
DH and I have big issues around decisions and who ultimately gets the final decision. I am a controlling person (which is another issue) and make the majority of the decisions in the household. DH is poorly with depression and a chronic migraine and I don't think he thinks rationally. We have been to Relate years ago now…

Kicking a redbull addiction
Morning everyone. Does anyone have any tips/experience of kicking an addiction to redbull? I know it sounds strange, but I am seriously struggling now to get through a day without at least 4 cans of the stuff, and it's time to stop! I presumed it would actually be quite easy, until I tried.... I seriously crave the stuff,…

Can't get it out of my head..,
My daughter is four. We were getting out a taxi a couple of days ago and I took her round to the back of the taxi with me while I unloaded the bags and my sons buggy. As I put my head into the car, she decided it would be a clever idea to run across the road. A car literally missed her by seconds. I can't sleep...I have…

Evicting Son
Its a long story... Not going to bore the pants off of you regarding the nitty gritty! He's 20, things have broken down, he has asked for a 28 day eviction notice so he can try to get social housing, we/he doesn't have any type of rental agreement, as you do with your kids, but we had agreed £60 a month rent, he hasn't…

Term Time Holidays???
Have children of 8 & 10, I have never taken them out of school for a holiday before. We have only ever holidayed in the UK, because that's all we could afford, mostly with relatives. This year we could stretch to a holiday in the sun abroad, but only if it's in term time, its going to be approx £600-700 more in the school…

So proud of my kids because...
... their Cmas lists were small as "we don't need much, do we? And we have loads of toys already." ...we spent Cmas with family, so only took a couple of presents. The Lego Brickmaster books and Where's Wally pack kept them happily amused for hours. ...they met loads of strangers this holiday and they were polite and…

I live in a flat, am housebound due to disability. should 9yr old be allowed unsupervised access to computer?
The computer has no parental controls on it but when visiting the 9yr old wants to go on it without supervision/restriction. His older teenage brother is allowed on it without supervision. Worried about what the 9yr old might stumble across which is why we don't allow him to use it if we're not keeping an eye on things.

My son makes me smile :)
Having just had a shower and washed my hair, my 5 year old wanted a cuddle. He suddenly pulled away wrinkling his nose so I asked him what was wrong... He said my hair didn't smell like my other hair :rotfl::rotfl: Clearly I need to wash it a bit more :D
