Am I covered?? Policy question...

Hiya,
I wasn't sure where to post this but felt here was as good as anywhere but please move if it shouldn't be here :-)
I took sky protect out just before Christmas but I haven't received the paper work yet and I have paid my first payment.
Today our tv has come on with horizontal lines in it and it's jumping, I was going to ring sky protect but I've just seen this in the small print and I'm not sure if I am covered or not??? If it makes a difference I took the policy out over the phone, they rang me peering the service as we already have sky protect covering our sky equipment
. The Sky Protect Policy will start on the date we process your application (taking and processing payment details) or renewal date as applicable. However, your policy will start 30 days after the date we process your application (taking and processing payment details) if you applied for the policy online or over the phone, your TV Equipment is no longer protected by its manufacturer’s warranty and we have not sent you out an offer for the policy.
So am i Covered or not??? I'm confussed lol

Not covered....and in my opinion that policy is not worth anything.
What if the Sky box dies? Cancel Sky...
Sky then rings you and says please don't cancel we want you as a customer. You then say my Sky box doesn't work I don't want Sky. They then say we'll send you a new one.
If they really refuse to replace the Sky box then buy another one from the internet they are very cheap. Then ring Sky and match your card to the new box. Job done.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Sounds like a faulty TV rather than the Sky box. Are TV's covered with Sky Protect ? Have you tried the TV without Sky plugged in ?0

according to the website- It covers your minidish, remotes, cabling, Sky wireless router, Wireless Connector and Sky boxes.
So it doesn't even cover your tv- which from what you said is the problem
I don't think this policy is worth having as said above
wesbite also says--

It's £9.50 for the sky and £8,50 for the tv, it covers anything inc accidental damage and repairs etc. it's just the 30day wording above I don't get lol x0

These policys are outrageiouos. It probably isnt Sky anyway,
If your Sky box dies, Sky will come out and give you another box of mend that one for a flat fee of 65 quid, for nothing sometimes. And youre paying 12 x 9.50. TVs, accidental damage may well be covered in your house hold contents.
Boy they did a job of work on you......make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
