Will someone please explain APR to me in layman's terms?
Thankfully, I'm in a fortunate position where I've never needed a credit card or loan :j However, I'm now looking at getting a small loan to get a new family car. The rate I've been quoted is 6%, but the APR is 15%. What do these rates both mean? And why are there two rates? If I'm borrowing £5000 over 4 years, how much…

I am toying with the…

Loan or Balance transfer?
I'm panicking a bit: I don't know which to try first - apply for a loan (£5000) from 'suitable matches' on Equifax, or try a balance transfer from 'suitable matches'. Usual dilemma - footprint on credit file - then it affects the 2nd try if turned down. There are no searches as yet on the file. Thanks for any hints. Dave.

Rent Deposit - Bad News
After 6 years I'm leaving my apartment. The apartment is exactly as when I first got it. No wall pictures no hooks no nothing. My son got himself into difficulties with a car loan charging 39.9%. My credit is very good and have no debts, so was very surprised, disappointed and not a little miffed.…
