Pay-off on business bank loan
Hello - We lost our business some three years ago and still owe the bank a lot of money. I have heard that banks sometimes accept a "pay-off" amount considerably less that the loan. Does anyone know the procedure for this. Thank you. JMH400

Unsecured loan for person with poor credit
Hi, Last summer, I was made redundant from my job. Before this, my credit was quite good, and my business was doing well. However, since the redundancy, my debts have spiralled out of control, and my credit rating is now poor. Then, three months ago, I was able to secure full-time employment with a very good salary. This…

$5000 loan, possible?
I'm a 19 year old, full time student with a part-time job, from California(USA). I've been applying to every lender imaginable and have been denied by each and every one of them. I am in serious debt, and I am looking for a personal loan of $5000 at-least, and I would be able to pay it off with interest within 14 months,…

Hi - I am lending a considerable amount to a friend for a maximum of 5 years and interest-free and was wondering if anyone has a free template or a downloadable form from a website they could recommend. Have tried via Google but all appear to require payment. Thanks very much.

Barclays Loan Protection
Allow me to vent my anger whilst asking for some advice on how to deal with the total lack of customer service that is Barclays'. Late last year my husband got a loan with Barclays, with Loan Protection. We've been banking with Barclays since 1999, they know us, we know them and we know they get it very wrong sometimes,…

Balloon car payment
We have had a balloon car payment for 12 months and we were wondering is there any way of either renogotiating the deal (eg adding more miles per year on the deal) or whether you could buy the car before the 3 years payment option is completed. thanks Mick

Northern Rock
A less financial aware friend has asked me to check over some loan application paperwork for a loan from Northern Rock. She is looking to borrow £8000 over 10 years. She was forced to take the PPI as Northern Rock refused to send out the loan agreement without the PPI. I've got the unsigned agreements here. The loan…

Need help with credit report
In the past I opened two student overdrafts and used one for an ISA. I didn't realise that I had to make regular repayments into this account (call me stupid but I just assumed it would be better to pay off in one lump sum) This seems to have messed upmy credit rating. I have an excellent payment record on my other…

Home credit loans!
Does anyone know of any companies that do home credit loans? I am looking to borrow around £400 to repay over a year but I have adverse credit on my credit files. I don't particularly want to use Provident or Greenwoods as they have a poor PR image and an even poorer interest rate. Many thanks in anticipation. Martin

Car Finance
Need to buy a new car and seemed to have narrowed it down to either a Honda Civic or Honda Jazz. The salesman suggested for following: Take out the finance over 5 years instead of 3, therfore reducing the monthly payments to something more manageable. Then if you want to change the car after 2 or 3 years, the dealer would…

Does anyone know what Credit Reference Agency LLoyds TSB use when doing a credit search.
