This compares favourably with credit cards used for stoozing, athough the interest free period is only 5 months. After the…

How is APR calculated
Hi I know that this has probably been discussed about a million times, but I have had trouble finding the posts. Can anybody explain how APR is calculated? I'm reasonably sure that it is the interest rate adjusted to include charges but my knowledge stops there. Does it include late/non payment fees? or anything else? What…

Post Office Loans
Has anyone got a loan from the Post Office? They seem to have fixed rates rather than typical rates and so it should be a case of knowing what rate you will get before you apply. The best rate is currently 6.4%.

384k Debt Pardon
Thank you M'lad ;) Lucky or what ! Okay the interest was extortionate i.e. £6k to £384k is extortion, but they should at the least have to repay the original debt of £6k I think this sends out the wrong message, it may make people in debt think if they leave sortign out their debt for a decade or so, it will get written…

Credit scoring - cards v loans
I'm intending to switch my car loan to the the Mint credit card as they are offering a 'fixed for life' rate on balance transfers. But it occurs to me that there may be issues with credit scoring to have a £5k credit card debt as opposed to a car loan. Anything to worry about?

Egg Loan Overpayments
I owe about £16K on an Egg Loan, but because business is improving I'm thinking now would be a good time to throw some more money at this debt. My question is would it be worth me doing a few one off overpayments into my Egg Loan? Or would I get stung with this rule of 78 stuff? Thanks, Mark

:-[I recently voluntarily turned a fairly new truck & car back in to the respective financial institutions. I could not afford pmts after changes in income. Getting out of a PPI deal - would this work?
Question for anyone knowledgeable in the ways of purchase protection insurance policies. If you found your circumstances changed such that you were ineligible to claim under the policy, would that entitle you to demand its cancellation, on the grounds that the company intended to breach its contract? An example would be if…
