ISA or Poppy Saver
My wife is a non-income tax payer !! Can she convert all of her, already built up ISA allowance to save in a "normal" savings account, such as Coventry poppy saver (which she still has and presumably can still credit) - paying 1.75% Compared to 1.5% fixed cash ISA rates - when you have no access to your funds and are…

Britannia Prime Fixed Rate Cash ISA Transfer Penalty
I decided to move my 2012/13 and 2013/14 cash isas from Britannia and, although this is not being done in year, I have been told they are deducting £150.62 as a penalty before transfer. Has anyone else had the same experience?

New isa rule on cash/share movement
Currently when I sell investments in a stocks & shares ISA the proceeds go into a 'cash holding account' that earns virtually nothing.(Cofunds platform) In the rule changes that come into force in July, my understanding is that you'll be able to move the proceeds from ISA protected share sales into a cash ISA that actually…

Quick question re old ISA's
Hi everyone, If I have an old Isa that is paying a low rate of interest, I understand that I can transfer it to a new provider but does that then mean that I can't get a new isa for this year? Basically, does transferring old isas effect your allowance for a new tax year?

Move ISA to Santander 123 Current Account or new ISA or alternative ?
Hi, Following threads on here, I've opened a TSB Plus account and a Santander 123 account. From my main current account I've put £2k into the TSB and £3k into the Santander accounts and set up the required standing orders and DD to gain the interest rates. I've also got an ISA with The West Brom with just under £20K in but…

ISA - best option if I will need access in 1.5years?
I currently have £20k in a fixed ISA, which matures in April 2015. I have enough savings to top up my £5940 allowance for this year. I will have enough savings available by around December to add the remaining £10k-ish NISA allowance. I'm looking to buy a flat in the next 18months or so when I will need access to the…

Confused about ISA rates - please help me understand
I currently have £21k in a Halifax ISA which has an interest rate of 2.5% gross. I want to add my £5,940 allowance and have been looking at some other ISA accounts. I'm reading the Best Cash ISAs page; I won't need to touch any of the money for about 18 months, and I already have the savings so don't need to save monthly.…

ISA or interest paying Bank account?
Hi all - could I ask for some advice/suggestions please? I currently have an ISA with the Cheshire BS which has £2.2k in it. The 2.5% interest rate drops to 0.5% in June. I've looked at other ISA's but none seem to come anywhere near 2.5% interest so I'm wondering if I'd be better off putting it into an interest paying…

Cheshire BS 2.5% - Interest looks wrong
I opened a Cheshire BS 2.5% ISA on 11 March 2013 with a transferred balance of £12145.63. I've just had a year end statement for 31 March 2014. It doesn't show any in-year transactions, and shows a balance of £12429.31, implying they have added interest of £283.68. A year's interest at 2.5% should be £303.64, and I would…

Basic question on multiple ISA's (S&S)
Hi All, Sorry, after much searching and reading I can't seem to find a clear and definitive answer to what I know is a very simple question... I already have cash ISA's and an S&S ISA from previous years. Currently not putting anything into the cash ISA but drip-feeding monthly payments into the S&S. I'm not using my full…
