Hi, Kingston Unity are offering a 4.25% variable investment ISA. I've never opened an ISA for years, the rate looks better than I've seen anywhere before, any comments/help would be much appreciated. thanks.

It isn't any better than other funds you can put in a S&S ISA but it isn't comparable to a cash ISA.

You can get 4% from many equity income funds and more than that from many corporate bond funds. Some are even over 6% eg:

i use my ISA allowance for riskier investments, such as individual company shares.
but i have other investments with Kingston Unity and if you are risk-averse then i think it represents a good option.
