Santander ISA Saver internal transfers?

Options
Trying an internal Santander transfer to my ISA Saver. Won't work. Looked at terms and conditions and said internal transfers allowed.
Anyone have this trouble?

If you're transferring from another Santander ISA, you have to upgrade not transfer (and you end up with 2 ISAs not one combined). You should be able to do transfers from other types of account (123 or savings) providing you haven't fully funded the ISA this tax year.

I am attempting to transfer from an everyday saver account to an existing ISA. Haven't used any of my 2014-15 quota up yet.

I think you need to go via a current account?

Are you getting any message popping up or does it just bomb out and return you to your accounts list?

I phones their technical helpine yesterday, having met with the same problem. There is a technical problem which they are attempting to rectify. In the meantime, the workaround is to go to the santander.co.uk homepage, do not login to internet banking, select ISAs on the side menu. You'll eventually find the ISA you want to 'upgrade' to and an online form to complete giving various details, then a promise of an email in afew days telling you whether the upgrade has been successful.

The OP is trying to move money from a normal savings account to an ISA. This is not an ISA transfer.

My apologies. I couldn't move funds from an ISA to a 123 Account either so I suspect all fund transfers between accounts as well as ISA upgrades are affected...

A message does pop up. The account I'm trying to transfer from is actually a current account (I called it an Everyday Saver...its an Everyday something or other :o)

Oh well Nationwide may benefit instead for my ISA quota. Both pay the same miserly 1% anyway.

saying what? Precisely what were you trying to do before the message popped up?

it does definitely help if you know whether the source is a current account or a savings account or another ISA, and what exactly the name of the account is.

Are you serious? Cash ISA interest rates are terrible these days, but that is no reason to settle for a 1% ISA. Exactly how much money are you planning to save, for how long? Have you exhausted the interest paying current accounts?
