Transfering from HSBC ISA to another provider
I have a form from my new provider, but I'm unsure of the procedure with HSBC which I hold a standard cash ISA I'm transfering out. Do I mail the transfer form to HSBC, or take it to the local branch, or? I don't want HSBC screwing up the transfer. It's not a notice cash ISA, so I assume I don't have to provide any notice…

For ease of management-aswe are getting older
Currently both my wife and I have two cash ISAs, with Nationwide and Barclays. We both intend to take out cash ISAs this year. Ideally what we would like is 1. Have them all in the same bank/B.S. 2. Achieve 1. without incurring any transfer charges 3. Not an online account, need a branch (old fashioned I know) 4. Good…

Nationwide halts ISA transfers
Although there is a post on this subject here, I though it worthwhile to post separately on this matter. From The Times: http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/money/savings/article4286006.ece Society says weight of cash inflows has forced a temporary stoppage.

Can I pay into one ISA, open a new ISA and transfer into the new one each tax year?
I've have about £15K in a Halifax ISA earning 5.5% AER. I've paid £3,600 into it this tax year. I want to switch to the Icesave ISA for the better rate. Can I open a Icesave ISA this year and transfer in from my Halifax? If I can, do I lose the interest (paid yearly) from the Halifax ISA?

Alliance-Leicester ISA
Back in April after reading Martins Tips, I decided to transfer my ISA holding to Alliance Leicester who were advertising 6.5 %, this was accomplished by around April 18th. I recently noticed it had disappeared from Martin's tips, so checked with A-L and discovered that my 6.5 % had been dropped to 6% 2 weeks after making…

Cash ISA - transfer in
Hi All I'm looking to transfer around £10k into a new cash isa. I'm currently getting 5% but I can see that other providers offer around 6%. I'd prefer instant access and money has to be safe. I'd also like to keep it in the same account for a couple of years so I don't expect to be switching each year. I plan to add a few…

ISA Interest Rates
Hi All, My wife and I have an investment with Abbey, some held in Shares, our max allowances in ISA's and the rest in cash. My question really is about the interest on ISA's. If they are Shares ISA's and the stock market falls do we still get the interest rate quoted or do we only get what the shares make in dividends. I…

Transferring to Icesave
Hi, I have £3,000 in a cash ISA currently with First-Direct. This was money was invested this current tax year. After finding this web-site, I've learned that other ISA's are more profitable, and I'm looking to move this money to one of them. Icesave appear to be the best I've seen so far, and appear to allow transfers in.…

An ISA Transfer Success Story For A Change
We often read on here tales of woe about ISA transfers going wrong, so I just thought I'd redress the balance with my own first transfer experience. My wife and I each held a TOISA with Alliance & Leicester and because the interest rates had become rubbish, we decided, with some trepidation, to embark on a transfer to…

Transferring into Newcastle ISA
OH and I both have last year's Tax Beater ISAs and now the bonus has been dropped we want to transfer to a better paying one. We also have previous years' ISAs with Abbey and are thinking of transferring these also because of Abbey's rubbish service. We have already fully subscribed to Barclays Tax Haven ISA for this year…

Some Feedback Please
Right heres the situation, i have about £4,100 in a Natwest Cash ISA earning interest at 4.6%, and so i want to make better use of it. I still have my full £3,600 allowance this year, but no savings to go in there. Theres a lot of talk on here about the best ISA's available but most discussed do not allow for balance…

ISA Interest
A bit confused. Will the interest you get on your ISA remain the higher or lower if you a)put all your money into the ISA at the beginning of the financial year b)drip feed it in over the year c)add it in one lump sum at the end of the financial year

Abbey Easy ISA to Direct ISA, problem (ops)
Hi ! Few days ago I sent the form to transfer my Abbey Easy ISA to Direct ISA (Issue) 2, also asking them to link it online with my bank account and my E-Saver. I've just checked my online banking and the E-Saver is now called "Direct ISA" (nothing else has changed, though, it is still an E-Saver with a different name),…
