Transferring to Icesave

Hi,
I have £3,000 in a cash ISA currently with First-Direct. This was money was invested this current tax year.
After finding this web-site, I've learned that other ISA's are more profitable, and I'm looking to move this money to one of them.
Icesave appear to be the best I've seen so far, and appear to allow transfers in.
So my question is, can I transfer my current ISA to them, without penalty etc. Or does the "transfer in" refer to money invested in years previous to this current tax year.
Thanks
Lee
