She has buildings and contents insurance,…

Help! Car insurance when not working due to ill health?
Hi - I need some advice regarding renewing my car insurance. I recently stopped working due to ill health and am claiming Employment and Support Allowance (formerly Incapacity Benefit). Claiming damaged phone through Direct Line Home Insurance
Hello, My Samsung Galaxy S3 took a tumble down the toilet and, although, it worked fine after three days in a bag of rice in the airing cupboard, a week later an annoying vertical line intermittently appeared on the screen so I took it into Vodafone. They sent if off and today it came back, predictably with "water damage"…

Help on making a court claim against mis-sold Critical Illness Cover
Hello - I'm after some help please. Some years ago, my partner (at the time) and I took out some critical illness cover from then Royal & Sun Alliance (R&SA). It was sold to us by a rep who visited us and we were happy with the policy. It was a fixed term joint policy (25 yrs) and the payments were around £20pm and again…

"Matching Items Cover" & tiles
Several years ago we had a leak in our bathroom, which ruined part of the wall behind the shower over the bath. Our insurance company at the time told us that their liability was only for the 1metre square patch of tiles, if we could not source matching tiles (we couldn't) they would replace with plain tiles. Apparently,…

Thanks SG

Miss sold Life Assurance
Hi all, If anyone can offer advice on this matter I will be over the moon. I believe I was miss sold life assurance back in 1999 when I bought my first house. To cut a long story short I was told by the chap in the bank (RBS) that if I did not take out the Royal Scottish Assurance ( OWNED AT THAT TIME BY RBS) policy to…

Aviva car insurance claim reopened
I was with Aviva for a year, not any more. I had an accident earlier this year and it was the 3rd party at fault. Although the 3rd party contested it, eventually it was proved they were at fault and I got a pay out and my full excess back from 3rd party. The matter was closed. Now Aviva are saying they reopened the case…

Hiya We (my family of 4) are in Spain with a friend of my youngest boy in a rented apartment. Our family have an annual policy but we have just realised that our young friend has no coverage. liar has made a claim
Dear users, A few years ago I was waiting a set of traffic light when this guy got out his car and asks me why I pulled up so close behind him (I did not). Anyway, I recently got a phone call from my ex-insurance provider (I used to be with AXA motor insurance) and apparently this schmuck has made a claim. Any ideas? This…

Pet insurance question
Hi, Received the renewal notice after the first year of cover and it's increased so I want to shop around. I'm looking on the comparison sites now - but so far none have asked about pre-existing conditions or claims. Is that normal? Just asking as I've never renewed before and assumed it would be like car insurance where…
