Live-in landlady - contents insurance?

Apologies if this has already come up; I did a search and didn't find an answer.
I have recently moved in together with my landlady, i.e. we each have our own bedroom and share other spaces and facilities equally, and the flat, including my bedroom, is furnished by the landlady. She has buildings and contents insurance, and I pay her a lump-sum monthly which includes "all bills", as specified by the tenancy agreement. I'm not sure whether I am required to have a separate contents insurance.
In addition, as I've been getting a couple of quotes for my information, I'm unsure how to answer questions about e.g. the flat being self-contained. The flat is, but my room obviously isn't. In addition, the roof material and building year etc seem irrelevant as surely they can only affect the buildings insurance - yet the comparison sites for contents insurance also ask these questions.
I would appreciate any advice from others in a similar situation.
Many thanks!

Comparison sites will be of no use in your situation. Comparison sites are for 'the norm' and your situation is different.
You would be better going to an insurance broker in your area and explaining your situation. You are not unique and there re products out their, but the comparison sites are not appropriate.
Have you tried googling 'lodgers insurance'?Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0
