effective oven cleaner for Bosch oven
Please let me know if you have found an effective (not too abrasive) cleaner. I know that Bosch offers its own ones but I have seen mixed reviews. I don't want to waste more money on ineffective products or risk damaging the surface.

drain cleaner in shower waste
Just fitted a new waste trap to a shower. The instructions for the new trap say "do not use drain cleaners". Does anyone know why it says this and what would happen if you did? Or more specifically, what should I be using to remove soap sludge and hair from the waste run. Thanks.

Best way to wire downlights
Now, electricity isn't my strongest point, but a competent friend will be helping me fit downlights. I would however like to have a basic understanding of what he will be doing. The room will have two rows of 4 downlights with the previous 2 rose lights or whatever you call them, removed. Should the lights be wired in a…

Siting a garage
Could I have views on siting a garage please? My front garden from the gate to the back of the house (side driveway) is straight but from the back of the house the whole garden veers to the right. Issues with construction work opposite me and hairline cracks in my home
Hello, this seems the most relevant place to post my query. Essentially, I live very close to the grounds of a football club which is being extensively redeveloped. A big part of this redevelopment has been knocking down properties opposite my 2nd floor flat, and building a very big supermarket. A survey was initially…
