Cleaning up brass (?) door handles
Hey guys, Got a load of door handles in my house that need sorting, my original plan was to switch to silver, but it's an awkward fit, needs a lot of messing about (handles, hinges and latches) and frankly doesn't look as nice as I was hoping, on the door I tested silver on. So anyway! I've got some pics - they're covered…

Differences between w.c's
Having been sold on the idea of a Twyfords or Ideal Standard wc, can anyone tell me, with a close coupled unit, why one costs as little as £130, or perhaps 3 times that amount for the same brand ? If there is a particular model of the above, that shouts out as top value,.... perhaps it has just been discontinued, I would…

Hi, I have just moved into a house with Phoenix gas. In the kitchen is Myson Kickspace 600. Each pipe is connected the separate copper pipes coming through the floor. Two pictures…

Vinyl for kitchen
I am getting a new kitchen. After a horrendous experience with laminate, I have decided to go back to vinyl, I want something decent which will wear well. Consumer unit above bath and under sink - is it allowed?
We viewed a house recently which has the main consumer unit located above the bath. It's at about head height from the floor and is housed in a locked cupboard (but not watertight). There is no shower above the bath. My best guess is that the bathroom was re-done within the last 10 years. I can't comment on the age of the…

After 10 years of wanting to (no spare cash), we've finally decided to splash out on a pair of garden doors. Can I ask for some advice on how to choose them.
