Differences between w.c's

Having been sold on the idea of a Twyfords or Ideal Standard wc, can anyone tell me, with a close coupled unit, why one costs as little as £130, or perhaps 3 times that amount for the same brand ?

If there is a particular model of the above, that shouts out as top value,.... perhaps it has just been discontinued, I would like to hear.
Thanks in anticipation. :)

retail prices are what the market will bear. generally the fewer the units made, the more exclusive the item, and the dearer the price.
both products do exactly the same job!

dear prices dont always depend on better quality.

I would imagine you are paying for a funkier design and the name.
