Heating the garage
Hi, Having recently moved home I now have a nice integral double garage. Apart from storing the usual junk in it, I was wanting to use part of it as a gym but also store things like the filing cabinet in it. I would have thought that in the long term, the documents would deteriorate in a cold garage. Hence I guess I would…

KRAFTWELLE chainsaw
I've been offered a brand new Kraftwelle chainsaw for £70. I've never heard of the company and when I looked on-line I couldn't find any listing for the company. However, I did find a couple of adds for the same saw at £140... saying that it was a private sale and only a mobile number was quoted. Has anyone heard of this…

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]I have planning permission for a 2 storey extension to the back of my house plus a garage conversion. Underfloor heating - electricity or hot water?
hi, I am looking at getting underfloor heating in my extension (conservatory) and am not sure of the pro's and con's on underfloor heating types. The information I have recieved is that water based underfloor heating is better - but my instinct is that it is more prone to problems, and if a pipe breaks then it is a big…

I know we have a few kitchen specialists on here so I'm after a little advice about a wine cooler unit. This is a Christmas present for Mrs M's parents who like a bottle or 10 (as do I - so I also admit an interest in this item). We would like to spend no more than £250 will stretch to £300 for the right item but no more.…

High humidity and condensation
I'm suffering from condensation dripping down windows and creating puddles on window sill, especially in bedroom. It's causing mouldy patches on walls, and a damp smell. I've got a humidity meter and it tends to read about 90% in the morning (reduces to about 80% during day). I've been leaving the window open a fraction…
