De-Humidifiers need one to solve condesation problem

Got a bad condensation problem with my double glazzed windows in the winter months.
Want to invest in a De-Humidifier, got a budget of £100 to £190, want to solve the problem so I think I need to invest in a decent one, fed up with mopping the water up of the windows each morning.
Anyone recommend any makes & models, any to stay clear of?

We have an Ebac, it's brilliant, we bought it from a small ad, so it wasn't brand new, it lasted for years.I am still amazed at the volume of water it extracts from the air each day. It is also very easy to use and as a bonus also helps dry washing if you place the damp clothes on a clothes horse near it.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

You need to increase your heating and ventilation and that will go a long way to recifying a condensation problem - try it before you go down the route of a dehumidifier.0

Hi...we investigated fitting a heat recovery system as a solution but it wouldn't be cost effective.....270mm insulation in roof, cavity wall, double glazed windows, condensing boiler, bathroom and kitchen extractors, the whole nine yards already done.;) A dehumidifier is the most cost effective solution at the moment for us. Will definitely fit a HRS in our self build.

My house is a 30s semi, should I think about a positive input fan think there expensive not sure if it will work plus had the loft insulated the other year and the company that did it just chucked it in.
Also getting a wet wall in my hall where 2 external Walls meet, what can I do on this?
Should I just go with a ebac dehumidifier 1st ?0 -
You need to think about the ongoing running costs as well - a dehumidifier can rack up huge electricity bills, whereas a positive pressure unit or heat recovery ventilator can actually reduce your electricity bills (as the cost to run it is much less than the amount that you can save on heating bills).0

Cheggers,
you can buy a PIV system for under £260!, then you just need to get it fitted, which should be no more than £100 (takes about an hour to fit, 2 if sparks has never done it before)
Won't put the link on just google drimaster
Pm me if you want the link for a good supplier (can't advertise them too much)

I've just purchased an Ebac 2650e tonight, so I should have it with me by Wednesday - it is to replace an aged B&Q model (this exact model).
This is where I bought it from, plus they are fairly local to me - so not too worried about repairs, etc.Everybody is equal; However some are more equal than others.0 -
do they only work for one room ??? we have a bad condensation problem upstairs and I am soooooooooooo fed up with dripping windows also do they cost much to run, could you just have it running overnight ???0

I'm thinking about buying the Ebac model that you have bought. How are they. My main concern is the noise - are they noisy ?0
