need to change front door lock- costs to expect?

I have a front door that is loose, its an ingersoll lock and the key is also gets stuck in it all the time.
I want to change the lock, Does anyone know what the costs i should expect to pay?
It's not an emergency so do i still have to pay call out charges? And it it possible to get someone to do it for a job payment as opposed by the hour?
And finally any recommendations for Barnet in North London?

It all depends if it actually needs changing or just repairing and what parts it would need, and if you want ingersoll again? most decent locksmiths dont charge a call out,
as for a reccomendation any one on here should be ok.

The only sort of loose I can think of is loose screws which generally is easy to fix with a screwdriver and maybe a couple of bigger screws or some matchsticks.
Sticky keys is normally the cylinder, if it’s like this

then as you can see it’s £50 for the parts so under £100 supplied and fitted.
Having said all that they are ridiculously easy to change (15 mins tops inc a cup of tea) so this might be a good first foray into the wonderful world of DIY0 -
I'm not bothered if its ingersoll or not, cheaper the better!
It's a repossesion so and the idiot who changed it did a rubbish job. The screws hold the lock on the side of the door . and the back of the lock is completely loose.
thank you for the link will go through it today0 -
Just to add to the mix, it has a Yale front (incl Key) so i assume barrel and an Ingersoll back!0

need to change the barrel , Ingersoll are expensive! £160 incl fitting, £160 i didn't account for, great0

Yep, cheap yale type barrels such as a repro agent would use only cost about £2.50, which accounts for the sticking key.
You (generally) get what you pay for.0 -
the cowboy before hand had the yale front, 3 screws holding the lock on the side, they didnt put the metal bracket underneath (which the lock smith provided) or the 2 long metal rods (which he supplied as well)
Glad it's sorted,0
