Cooker Hoods - Any difference in quality?
Hi, I'm planning to knock down the wall that separates the pokey kitchen and dining room to create an open plan kitchen/diner room, but don't want kitchen smells/grease/steam going from the kitchen into the diner area. At the same time I'll be re-fitting the kitchen. What are the main differences between a cheap (£100)…

Replacing exploded shower cublicle
Last week a friend and I were sitting downstairs when we heard a massive explosion. Poor toilet flushing action
Our toilet flush is woeful. Without being too graphic, half the time it doesn't flush all the contents away after the first flush. In fact, number twos often survive multiple flushes. A bit embarrassing when we have guests around! Having watched it carefully no water comes out the left side, it all comes from the front…

Noisy pipes
A few weeks ago our water pipes started banging loudly sometimes shortly after a tap was turned off or a toilet was flushed - it can be a while afterwards and the noise sounds a bit like a helicopter and can go on for about ten seconds.
