Plant growing through wall!!!

We moved into a "new" house about a year ago which was built around 1910 and is in a conservation area.

Up the back of the house are a number of climbers - pic:

Yesterday however I suddenly noticed a plant starting to grow up the internal side of the wall in the back guest bedroom!!!

Anyone know what type of plant it is?

What should I do?! Apply weedkiller to the whole back of the house though woudl mean losing some of the rustic / cottage look? Just to the plant in the bedroom?

HELP!!! :o

Hard to tell, but looks like it could be a clematis, or poss a honeysuckle. Has it had any flowers on it? The stuff at the bottom is a pyracantha I think (does it have red or yellow berries & spikes?) I would start with a weedkiller on the stuff inside put kitchen towel down, lay as much green on it & spray. Glyphosate (?sp?) is good. You will need to address the plant outside too, it needs to be pruned back so that you can see how it is getting in. You may need to have the render patched/repainted where it's coming in.

Just looked at your photos again & I'm pretty sure it's a clematis. It looks very familiar & I have about 10 diff varieties in my garden in various places. They seem to take being cut right down fairly happily, so it will regrow. You might get more help if you feel you need it from the gardening section (greenfingers I thin it's called?)
