Old Slides onto PC
My elderly father has hundreds of slides (remember those?) and I would like him to be able to see them without getting the old projector and screen out. Does anyone out there know whether there's a way to scan them in to a PC? I asked in PC world and the guy there didn't even know what a slide was!!

DVD player with built in FreeView!
Does anyone know if they are any good? and what the average price is? and, if it is better to buy seperates? It's for a kids room, so doesn't have to be flash (more space saving), just play all DVD's and receive FreeView. Cheap Aldi freeview any good?
The cheap DVD recorder finds support on here but has anyone experience of their £25 or so freeview box. Will anyone recommend an alternative box? Do I need any extra cables to make it work? The signal strength is OK in my area. My daughter thanks you for all help received.
