Gran Turismo 4 and steering wheel

Can anyone recommend where I can get a good steering wheel for my son? He has one that is impossible to "clamp" to the table. I was thinking of one which would "stick" on the table or on his lap. Would a wireless one be better? We havent got room for one of those chair things. We have a PS
He wants Gran Turismo 4, I have had no luck looking for a package with the game and a Gamecube. The best price for this game that I can find is £14.95 John Lewis which is unbelieveably cheap, but of course its out of stock! Elsewhere the price is £23.94 in Tesco ranging to £39.99 in Toys r us.

Any suggestions on the above please? Would be very grateful.
Many thanks
Rosemary

"I have had no luck looking for a package with the game and a Gamecube" - you can only get Gran Turismo for the Play Station.
I have a wheel and pedals (they come together) and frankly it's a pain to use, in my opinion. I'll try and see which one is it that I've got and post a link.
if it's more than 10 stone, and that hairy, it's probably not a dog...it may be a wookie.
  • It all depends on where the ps is located weather you choose a stick on table or lap one, although i prefer a stick on one because the others just move in your lap too much, cant reall recommend one, we have a mad catz one they sell them at game and asda (or at least they used to)

The game itself however i absolutly loved, i bought it for myself when i was pregnant so i had something to do during maternaty leave and onset of labour, i was addicted, although the 24 hour races are a killer. Your son shoulod love it, my 5 year old has now restarted from the begining after i completed it, ah peace!

Thanks everyone. I have been to Argos and bought a Gamester Race Pack for £89 which had Colin McRae Rally 4 PS2 game or Project Gotham 2 Racing for the XBox free. It was £99 on another website without a game, so I'm quite pleased. Details in case anyone is interested.

    Race Pack.

    Multi format PS2 and Xbox.

    Includes Xbox Live expansion slot.

Adjustable steering wheel, seat, pedals and frame.

    Sensitivity adjustment buttons.

    Cruise control.

    Gear shifting paddles.

    Dual Force vibration.

Folds up into a carry pack for easy storage.

I have the above racepack and its great, your son will love it, my son is four and he plays Burnout 3 on it. It must be the best steering wheel for the money I have seen.

GT4 for PS2 here for £17.99 - if you want a pack look at this for £79.99 - none of this of course helps if you are set on a gamecube ..

Edit - meant to add this which includes the games console fro £134.
