Tenant wants garbage bins cleaned!
I am a LL and I have had a request from my letting agent. A new tenant has requested that I pay to have the three rubbish bins (garbage, recycling and green waste) for the house professionally cleaned at a cost to me of £30! Would you ask for this and more importantly would you expect your LL to pay for it?

Hi there, Bought a new build house 6 months ago. Have had lots of minor snags as expected. We keep having to take time off of work or be interrupted while working from home for them to fix it. Has come to the point where we are getting them to come in for a week to get everything outstanding done. As we have had this…

We are concerned, especially with the current housing market. Neither myself or my partner want to scare the vendor off. I was informed…

Buying house from messy tenants!
We've finally had some good news, had an offer accepted on a property but the property has been rented for quite some time and the tenants have let it get into an absolute state. Hi everyone, not sure I'm in the right place here so please point me elsewhere if you think I should be in another part of the forum... Me and my ex were only together 7 years and married 1. Breach of title - any ideas what this means?
Hi, we were hoping to exchange contracts this week but there are a few outstanding queries which are holding things up. One is a missing deed on our buyer's property so they have been asked to pay for an indemnity insurance. The other relates to the house we are buying. Our solicitor is querying a "breach of title" and the…

Renting from seller?
Hello everyone, Due to extremely slow solicitors, particularly the vendor's, we are behind schedule in my flat purchase. The estate agent suggested the possibility of my renting it from the vendor (it was previously rented out and is vacant) and the vendor and I have agreed monies to be paid. This tenancy should only last…

I would like to move out, but renting seems so expensive. Could someone lend advice?
I am 25 and I am still currently living at home. For several health reasons, I've been unemployed for the last few years and i'm now trying to get back into work. Anyway, I've been looking around online to see how much flats are in my area, but they just seem so expensive, well, to me anyway. I live in Essex and currently…

Mortgage and employment probation period
Hello! Seems like I'm at a transition point in life... Looking to buy our first place, and also change job. I'll most likely be moving to a company where I could negotiate not having a probationary period. Especially if I mention that I'm in the process of purchasing a house. (They're very accommodating!) Just wondering if…

So, happy position to be in, but I have a buyer quandary. Cash buyer has had secondthoughts, three other offers…

Do I have a case against this auctioneer?
I'm ******* furious. Went to view a property a few weeks ago that was up for auction. Auctioneer is waiting at the property for any viewers and tells me that there are squatters in the property so we can only see it from the outside, and anyway it isn't for sale in this auction and it's going to been withdrawn and put for…

Letter from the Valuation Office - possibly increased council tax band
Hi, just thought I ask if any of you have had experiences with regards to the Valuation Office and Council tax bands? They sent some responses a month ago, but my solicitor says they were not detailed enough and he…
