FTB Stamp Duty
I understand that the stamp duty up to 250k for FTB expires in March 2012. Do you think in the current climate the government would extend this policy another year at least? Or maybe until 2014? I guess they need to do what they can to stimulate the market. Your thoughts? Thanks Darren

Question for landlords
When you let your property, do you actively seek tenants or simply wait to see who comes to you? We have registered with every letting agency we can find but wonder if it's worth placing ads in papers etc in case some people let privately. Would a landlord take notice of a wanted ad? Should we be placing paid for ads in…

Gazumping (and other things)
Hi there, We had an offer accepted on a house we're buying in Bath, but were then gazumped by someone from London with a lot of money to their name. I realise that this practice goes on with agents, however unprofessional. As a result we are trying to counter-offer, but we've completely lost faith in the estate agents not…

Feel Ripped off by Bairstowe Eves
We tried this estate agent as they are selling pretty well in the area. I talked down to £2500. Then comes the bombshell…

What if landlord wants me to leave but I don't want to
Hi, in the hypothetical scenario above, what would happen? What I mean is that if my landlord wanted me to leave and did not have a good reason (i.e. tenant always paid rent on time and property was well maintained by tenant), and I didn't want to leave, what can the landlord do about it? This also assumes the landlord…
