Best places to advertise for a lodger?
I've put an ad on spare room but have to sign up + pay to send any messages, going to try gumtree as well. Called the local paper and they both charge around £40 for a small ad for a week, I thought that was quite a lot. So just here to ask if there is anywhere else, and whether I will have to pay much to get a response.…

There seem to be many threads on here where people have paid a deposit on a property and then the valuation has come in lower and they cannot get the mortgage and the seller will not return the deposit. The bit that I don't get is, why pay a deposit before getting a valuation done? I cannot think of any other situation…

I'm a tenant - Get me out of here!!

Unfortunately he is very slippery & has moved abroad (which makes contacting him to deal with maintenance issues very tough). Our agents…

Best way to find tenant without 10% lettings agent
Hi I'm looking to rent out may flat and am fully prepared to manage it myself. Getting the Garden Done!
Hi, I moved into a new rented property last week. The garden is massively overgrown and the outside storage area is full of garden rubbish. It is obvious to me that the letting agents did not do a full check out report for the previous tenants as the inventory states that there is only a BBQ in the storage area, rather…
