I've put an ad on spare room but have to sign up + pay to send any messages, going to try gumtree as well. Called the local paper and they both charge around £40 for a small ad for a week, I thought that was quite a lot.
So just here to ask if there is anywhere else, and whether I will have to pay much to get a response. Should I stay online or try the paper too and pay the price?

its totally free and the longest I've waited to find someone is one week
just bear in mind however that you are in it for the money and nothing in business is free so you may be better off paying0 -

I've never used to rent, but have had good experiences with http://www.moveflat.co.uk/ both as a flat sharer and a lodger landlord. Its more focused on flatsharers, and only London, but works for me.0
