House selling advice - pretty please
Sometime in the next 12 months (hopefully sooner rather than later), we'll be putting our flat up for sale. The flat is privately owned, but it is on a housing association estate. I think it's something like 1 or 2 in every block of 6 that is private. It isn't a particularly rough area, but we do have the odd problem with…

will a nov rate rise affect you?
just wanted to gather a straw poll opinions as to how a rate rise in nov will affect people... generally i hear people saying they are on fixed rates so it doesn't matter... for me it just makes a house purchase even more unaffordable... and renting even better value!! :rotfl:

Two questions
How do I find out definitively whether the building I am trying to buy a flat in is listed or not? The owner says not as it is a Georgian (conversion flats) facade/bldg which was extensively fire damaged and rebuilt in 1999 with only the shell intact and a modern neo-Georgian extension added. Council refused planning…

Renting A Room
Hello I live in a 2 bed terrace alone. I am considering renting out a room @ around £200-£300 per month. When enough is enough?
We have an offer agreed on a house and as FTB’s are keen to get in our first house. However, the people we are buying off lost their house about 10days before we were about to complete (long story!) and for the past three months have been ‘actively looking’ for another house. Now I'm fully sympathetic that they cannot find…
