Linking different heating systems
I have a Parkray solid fuel/multi fuel central heating/domestic water heating system with solar powered domestic water system. The Parkray is only 2-3 years old and I have just spent money re-lining the chimney. Whilst I like this heating system, I recognize that as I am getting older, the manual effort makes it less…

I'm interested in peoples opinions on Radflex or similar products. These are the foil type backings you put behind radiators to prevent heat loss into the wall. Does anyone have it or an equivalent and is it worth the investment?

Is there a resting place for tired clothes?
I have quite a few items of clothing which are no longer fit to wear. They are no good for the charity shop or selling on ebay. So am wondering if anyone knows of a "bag 'o rags" recycling facility? I don't just want these items to end life in a landfill if they don't have too :)

Solar PV Calculations
I have a house with approx 16-18 sqm of roof, unshaded and south facing. All the 'free' solar companies seem to want a roof about twice the size so I'm considering paying 2 having a system installed. I assume it'd be viable as I have seen a number of PV arrays installed on houses round this way that are smaller than the…

VPhase VX1 - Voltage Optimisation, Electricity Saver
So I have seen this new product on the market its from a small new company. It seems to be a white box that is fitted by an electrician next to your home consumer box. What it does from what I can figure is flatten your voltage which can vary from 220v to 240v down to a flat 220V. By doing this they claim it will save…
