Hi ,
I've just joined the Freeconomy Community and I'd really recommend joining
- it is exactly your kind of thing! It basically helps you save money, learn
new skills, reduce your carbon footprint, meet like-minded friends and get
free help with stuff by enabling you to share skills, tools and spaces with
people in the local area. It's so useful!
You can join me in the Freeconomy Community at justfortheloveofit dote org it's totally free, forever. Give me a shout on there when you join. my id in
website is goafenny and in the forum is also goafenny

Hi Goa... I don't think you need to be in a community to be self sufficient and low carbon.
Best for potential members of a group to learn physical and life skills beforehand and then be examined for membership.
Otherwise you are going to get a bunch of free loaders.0 -
Hi ken,
Yes i do see lots of free loaders in the forum section. I also see many genuine freeconomist in the forum section of the website in previous post . sorry i could not post here again cause they dont allow. you can also google THE FREECONOMY COMMUNITY and find just for the love of it ,site .I judge them according to the number of post and genuine matter which allows me to decide whether to hang around with them just like birds of similar feather usually flock together. In the blog section i see genuine people who regularly post comments .I also see the group message section and individual mail i get from freeconomist on the MAIN SITE. bISTOL AND LONDON have 1900 and 2260 freeconomist in 25 miles radius . i do go there and check the group section through google map marker and get some ideas. Mark Boyle the founder will be talking on TED . He also has written a book called THE MONEYLESS MAN . He and the book title has a facebook page. if you want to have a look. my id there is also goafenny . hello me there.0 -
Sorry Goa... got it wrong, thought maybe you meant commune.
Yes I do several sites such as yours. Downsizer, Frugal etc.
In practice , joining up with others and living together (aka John Seymour)just doesn't work. Just a few with skills, lots of others wanting the community experence without the effort.0 -
