Double booked flight due to internet error/wifi issue and AMEX refuse to issue credit
Help!! Last week I attempted to book a flight while in a restaurant at a hotel. I was on the American Express Travel Website. I punched the purchase button but the swirling thinking thing was going on my phone for over 15-20 minutes and it never confirmed. My friends said it will be doing that all night best to get out of…

Feeling ripped off by Thomas Cook
Hi everyone, I went to a Thomas Cook branch today and exchanged 100€ into Pounds — they gave me £78.67. When I went home and checked their website, it says that for 100€ I would get £91.39. That's £12.72 more! does anyone know why? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as I think they're ripping people off and I am…

Ryanair Mis-selling - and no refund
I booked a flight with Ryanair this morning, the standard flight was £18.76 per person and the blurb below it had cabin bags greyed out. So I assumed that I get no cabin bags but I need cabin bags, I get to the next step and it suggests adding Family Plus for £52.28 more to get baggage allowance. So I add that and pay. I…

Orlando Airport Hire Car Off-site Refuelling
If you need to refuel your hire car in the vicinity of Orlando airport beware that there are a couple of petrol stations just north of the airport on South Semoran Blvd that massively overcharge (around 230%) for fuel. The southernmost petrol stations just north of the Beachline Expressway (528) on both sides of the road…

Day change to connecting flight only....
A colleague has a trip to India booked. The original booking flew domestic out from his home city on a Friday and then made a connection to pick up his long-haul flight to India. He's been informed that his India flight on the Friday is cancelled and re-booked on the Saturday. A couple of months notice, so no big deal. But…

S75 Question
Hopefully a simple question. I am looking at booking return flights only to Malta for 6 people next year. As the airline (Jet 2) are not ATOL protected and the individual flights are less than £100 each does S75 apply as the total for 6 flights is obviously more than the £100.

Iberia Express cancelled flight refund
Has anyone had any issues with Iberia Express refunds? I booked a flight in August 2018 for flights that aren't until May 2019, but a week later I had an email saying they'd been cancelled. The email didn't mention anything about re-scheduling the flights, so I booked alternative flights myself (also with Iberia Express)…

Add a checked in luggage after a paid for Jet2 flight?
Hi, (1) Can I add a checked in luggage after I have booked and paid for a Jet2 flight? I am talking like a few days before departure in case I find that I may exceed the 10kg hand luggage allowance. (2) If the answer to the above is Yes, how much will the cost be? Thank you.

Involuntary gate-tagging of higher-value cabin baggage into hold
Budget airlines are increasingly tagging size-compliant weight-compliant cabin baggage to be checked in at the boarding gate as hold baggage. They do this on full flights when overhead lockers are full, but they do not charge passengers for it because it is involuntary. Airlines limit their liability for checked-in hold…

Does Sixt car hire zero excess cover you for wheel arch damage??
Hi MSE people - OK so I have just returned from a holiday in Majorca. I rented a car from Sixt and paid extra for zero excess cover. I have used them several times before and always buy zero excess from them. Never had to use it before. Unfortunately this time I had a scrape in a teeny tiny multi-storey car park. This…
