This is Money Collective Switch
This is Money have a collective switch running at the moment. Registration needs to be done pretty quick as it closes on 20th June. I have registered as my GB electric expires at the end of August. Cheapest option at the moment for me that I'm happy with seems to be EON dual fuel so I'll be leaving Zog who I've been very…

Npower or SSE?
Currently duel fuel with EDF, looking to switch - Npower and SSE working out about the same cheapest cost - which would you go with? Or neither, wait a bit longer and hope for other competitive tariffs? I have found EDF very good and was with Ovo before, also very good.

Is it worth going to the Energy Ombudsman?
I've had issues with Scottish Power for the past while now relating to 2 complaints being raised. I apologise in advance for the lengthy post but feel I need to put this info down to get a proper idea of if it's worth taking to the Ombudsman. Initially, my Direct Debit was increased to £500 after a meter reading was…

Npower - installing new smart meter
Hi, When I bought my house 18 months ago, EDF supplied the electricity (an EDF smart meter had already been installed) and British gas supplied the gas. Soon after moving in, the cheapest dual fuel tariff was with NPower sonic fixed with them for a year. When that deal expired I looked for the cheapest deal again and…

New Eon tariff but where is it?
Eon have been trumpeting this new tariff to the newspapers but I can't find it on the website, at least not the actual tariffs. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/bills/article-4606896/Eon-s-tariff-guarantees-100-average.html

Eco-tec add-on to existing boiler - worthwhile?
We have been offered an Eco-tec add-on to our existing 15 year old boiler. Apparently this reduces the workload on the boiler and saves 25% or more on the gas bill (at an installation cost of £1400). It seems to be a reputable offer but I'm struggling to find any reviews (all seem to relate to Vailant boilers pre-fitted…

Incorrect Final Utility Bill has overdrawn my bank account
Hi, I recently switched supplier from First Utility. I paid my bills by direct debit and payment was taken yesterday for more than double what the final amount should have been which sent my bank account overdrawn and therefore with charges to pay. I contacted First Utility this morning who have admitted their error in…

Meter Exchange - Leaving Supplier
I have had my meter changed this week and have moved from pre-payment to credit (smart) meter. I am currently on a Standard tariff so not currently tied in to anything and after doing a comparison there are a lot cheaper companies out there (with npower at the moment). My only worry is about the meter exchange - are they…

How do I get a meter?
Contract with EDF just ended and your tool says I should switch. I live alone and have been told meters would be beneficial. Anyone know if this is true? Do all companies supply them? Are they free?

Energy switching fraudsters
I've read various stuff on this forum about switching fraudsters trying to get your Meter Serial Number etc to enable a fraudulent switch. I've noticed that Ebico freely lists all MPAN and Meter Serial Numbers on their website. As soon as you put in your postcode on their application form it displays everyones MPAN in your…

EON Smart Metre not working properly
My EON Smart Energy Metre display unit is not showing tariff or usage at all. It won't tell me when I am currently using per hr or predict anything. The only thing that seems to be working is the bar gauge and the lights at the bottom of the display. I have tried turning it off and on again along with seeing if there is…

Refunded too much by my former supplier
Hi all, I've just been contacted by my former energy supplier asking for money because they over-refunded me for a charge that they made by mistake 6 months ago (and now they want it back). In short: I closed the account in December, they accidentally charged me the following month, I told them what they had done and they…
