In Martin's article, he says that one can get £30 from Moneysupermarket as well as the Energy Club. I am ready to switch but cannot find any details of this. On the other hand, Quidco are offering £55 for dual cashback on the fixed March 2017 deal. Can anybody help me on this please? Thanks.

Though not affected - I was wondering if there were any deeper grounds to the refusal than some companies computers not being able to handle it. It seems a totally illogical and anticompetitive aspect of the market - as it discourages switching, and incurs 'useless' meter changes.

Are Smart Meters worth getting installed or is keeping the staus quo preferable? Are there any disadvantages to getting them installed? I keep my own record of energy consumption per month and enter the data into a spreadsheet to see how much I'm using and the associated cost.
