Cashback for new gas connection
We are going to have a new gas connection put in, which will be done by National Grid. I was told by British Gas that they would contribute £290 to the cost assuming I take them as my supplier. Npower who are my electricity supplier don't think they contribute, does anybody know if any other suppliers offer this incentive?

12 month billing ruling?
Hi, I've done a search on the forums, but can't find anything. Does anyone have any links to the actual wording of the 12 month billing ruling that energy suppliers must adhere to since July 2006? The one where they can only charge you for the last 12 months of fuel if they've not been billing you/not been billing you…

British Gas problem - Don't know what to do next
So I moved into a flat in October 06 with my girlfriend. I was given which meter was ours by the landlord (who also used to live in the flat so this meter has been the one billed to the address for many years). When doing some work on the flat, I turned the electricity off, but when looking at the meters, noticed the one…

Cheapest domestic hot water (Gas or Economy 7 electric)
I have just discovered that I have an electric immersion heater in my hot water tank. As I am on an Economy 7 electricity tarrif this means I can heat the entire tank overnight for pennies, which is great. Unfortunately though, I use most of my hot water in the evenings, by which time the tank has gone lukewarm. What is…

Npower - Not quite tempting enough.
I keep checking energyhelpline on a regular basis to see if my BG (Click Energy 4) and Ebico (Equigas) combo can be beaten for my usage levels. It seems even with the recent price rises it cannot, which in a way disappoints me but also reassures me that I am still in the right places. Npower Sign-Online 10 is the only…

Obligation to send bills?
This might well be a daft question and even posted before - apologies if it is/has. Question is, are energy companies under any legal obligation (or any kind of obligation) to furnish their customers with bills on a regular basis? To expand this further, customer pays by monthly direct debit for gas and electricity and…

Help?
I'm new to this site so please bear with me and I apologise if I cause offence without realising! Back in 2006 I bought my own house; I registered with N-Power for dual fuel and made a set monthly payment for each every month. I moved house in March last year and notified N-Power of my final meter reading and new address.…

Make Sure Old And New Supplier Use Same Reading!!
I recently changed from Scottish Power to Scottish Hydro Electric but made a mistake with final reading.
