We are going to have a new gas connection put in, which will be done by National Grid. I was told by British Gas that they would contribute £290 to the cost assuming I take them as my supplier. Npower who are my electricity supplier don't think they contribute, does anybody know if any other suppliers offer this incentive?

Are there any other ties with the BG deal (i.e. minimum contract?) if not and assuming you can't easily find another company to help with installation costs switch after your first bill.
MPI have a poll / discussion on Economy 7 / 10 off-peak usage (as a % or total) and ways to improve it but I'm not allowed to link to it so have a look on the gas/elec forum if you would like to vote or discuss.:cool:0
