Anyone got recent dealings with AMEX / RMA?
Hi all.. I'm currently paying AMEX via RMA Resolve. My online AMEX account simply states that my card is cancelled, and shows the credit from RMA, but every month I still get charged interest from AMEX. Has anyone actually had interest frozen with AMEX? They claim they have not "sold" my debt to RMA, but simply use them to…

Friday 26/09/08 What small dfw things have you done today???
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when…

I've Only Gone And Bl**dy Done It!!!
Yippee:j . As of today we are officially debt free. Have been in debt for as long as I can remember, so to know that we owe nothing to nobody (except the mortgage that is and have made an overpayment of nearly £2k this year) am absolutely estatic! Off to London today for a girlie weekend, staying in a nice hotel and seeing…

Ahh, couldn't think of a fancy title but I love reading the other diaries and wanted one of me own! Overpay or F&F
I think I've just had a second lightbulb moment:D I just realised that most of my debts have been passed onto debt collectors and they are accepting minimum payments that I can afford but its going to take me forever to pay it off. For example - HSBC balance £5858 and I pay them £36 per month. So, it is going to take 13…

Stumbled upon this animated video quite by accident - it's highly entertaining and very informative - http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-9050474362583451279 ....Paul Grignon's 47-minute animated presentation of "Money as Debt" tells in very simple and effective graphic terms what money is and how it is being…

Trying to make a new start..first hurdle..
Hi everyone, A bit of background; in 2001/2 I went through a massive depression due to the loss of a baby and subsequent girlfriend etc. I had a creditcard with a 1000pounds Natwest on it and an overdraft of 300pounds with Lloyds TSB. To cut a long story short, the years that followed we're spent in alcohol and dodging…
